On June 18th, the news outlet ProPublica released audio recordings of children at the border who had just been separated from their parents. The recording was taken at a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol facility, specifically, at detention center housing. ALTO Program Approved By Congress

With the aid of multiple senators, congressmen and doctors from New Jersey, the ALTO Program became a part of national legislation this past Tuesday. The ALTO Program stands for Alternatives to Opioids in regards to using “non-addictive alternatives” for pain management. The program was created in Paterson New Jersey at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center to combat the issue of opioid addiction in the Jersey community.
